Lauren Prewitt is in her first season as volunteer assistant with the Huskies. She comes to HBU after spending two years at Mayde Creek High School.

A highly decorated four-year standout at Southern Mississippi, Prewitt was third-team All-Conference USA in 2004 and won the USM Lady Eagle Award for her performance on the pitch and in the classroom. She was a Conference USA Academic Medalist and a Verizon Academic All-America.

A graduate of Katy Taylor High School, Prewitt was the 2000 Houston Chronicle Player of the Year as well as an NSCAA All-American. She played for the Katy Strikers and Cy-Fair Dynamo on the club level.

She just completed her third season in the Women’s Premier Soccer League. After two seasons with the Houston Stars, she played last season with Houston South Select. In addition to coaching on the high school level, Prewitt has worked with numerous youth soccer associations and camps.

Prewitt is single and enjoys running and cooking.
