Camp Equipment
Q. What should campers bring to camp?
A. Each camper will receive a complimentary HBU Soccer T-Shirt. Campers are reminded to bring a shin guards, indoor and outdoor soccer shoes, and a soccer ball.

Camp Staff
Q. What coaches will be present at the camps?
A.  In addition to the HBU coaching staff, the camp will feature top college coaches, current and former professional players, and college standouts to ensure the development of each camper.  Members of the HBU's Men's and Women's teams will be present at all sessions and will interact directly with the campers throughout the weeks.

Discounts
Q. Do you offer discounts to the HBU employees, teams or siblings?
A.  Yes!  We offer the following discounts.

HBU Employee: $25.00
Family Discount: Campers from the same immediate family will receive a discount of $25.00 for each camper that attends camp.
Teams: A team of 10 or more will receive a discount of $25.00 for each camper. The team must register together or send in all 10 forms together.
* Online payment does not allow for discounted payments
* Only one discount per camper

Goalkeeper Training
Q. Does the camp offer specialized goalkeeper training?
A. Yes.  Please indicate on the application or online registration form that you will attend GK training.  Specialized goalkeeper training will be provided during each week of camp.  Quality staff members will introduce basic to advanced goalkeeper techniques as well as provide valuable match experience during day camps.  During the residential programs, goalkeepers will improve their technique while developing a better tactical understanding of their position.  Goalkeeper evaluation will be provided to each advanced camper at the end of the week.

Necessary Paperwork
Q. What forms are required for participation?
A. Completed application (includes full payment if mailing in form), Medical and Legal Release Forms.  You will also need to provide a copy of your insurance card.

Q. Where is Houston Baptist University Soccer Camp located?
A. Houston Baptist University is located in Sharpstown area just 10 miles from Downtown Houston.  The HBU campus is easily accessible from Rt. 59 off the Fondren Rd. exit.

Q. Is lodging available near the campus outside of the camp dates?
A. Yes, there are many hotels located nearby but the Houston Baptist University athletic department strongly recommends the following:

Meals
Q. What meals are provided?
A. Meals are only provided for the Elite Residential Campers.  Meals include breakfast, lunch and dinner in our Aramark Cafeteria. 

Residential Housing
Q. Are there roommate preferences
A. We will do our best in keeping with the requests for specific roommates.  To insure that you get the roommate you are requesting it would be best for the two campers to send in their applications together with mention on the application of their request. 

HSA Expectations
Campers who cannot behave in a mature manner will be expelled from the camp.

Medical Information
Q. Are there medical staff at the camp?
A. There will be qualified athletic trainers at each session and in the dorms for residential camps.  The Houston Baptist University Sports Medicine Center is located nearby the playing fields if necessary. 

Parking
Q. Where can I drop off the campers?
A. There is a new parking lot adjacent to the soccer fields and behind the baseball stadium.  There will be no charge for parking during the camp hours. 

Q. Where can I park long-term?
A. If you wish to stay on campus throughout the day, please ask for details at registration. 

Teams
Q. Do you offer specific training for teams? Do teams receive a discount?
A. We encourage teams of all ages to attend the Soccer Camps. We welcome the team's coaching staff to observe our sessions anytime. Team training is available during any camp and team discounts are available for teams of 10 or more. Each team member will receive a $25.00 discount, please circle on the application form and be sure to note your TEAM Name.

Refunds
Q. What is the camp refund policy?
A. The deposit of $100 (Residential) and $50 (all other camps) are non-refundable. If a cancellation occurs prior to two weeks of camp starting there will be a full refund minus the deposit. If a cancellation occurs within two weeks of camp, regardless of the reason for the cancellation, 50% of any payments collected (minus the deposit) will be refunded. There are no refunds within 48 hours of a camp starting.
Returned checks will be charged an additional $35 fee.
