Rochester Soccer School Mission

The Rochester Soccer School is a fun and challenging development opportunity for every player! The camp staff is committed to offering a memorable week of camp that will help every player improve their game.

Airport
Q. Is shuttle service available from the airport?
A. Yes. The Rochester International Airport services all major airlines (Airport code is ROC). The airport is located 10 minutes from the UR Campus and shuttle service is available by our staff for $10 roundtrip (cab fare is $20 roundtrip). Please email joliver3@sports.rochester.edu with your flight itinerary and a contact phone number to arrange for pick up at the airport.

Camp Equipment
Q. What items should campers bring to camp?
A. Each camper will receive a complimentary t-shirt. All campers must bring proper playing equipment: cleats, shin-guards, water bottle extra socks/t-shirts, sunscreen, etc. Overnight campers should review the detailed camp confirmation sent via e-mail upon acceptance regarding travel and necessary equipment.

Camp Staff
Q. What coaches will be present at the camps?
A. In addition to the UR coaching staff, the camp will feature top college coaches, current and former professional players and college standouts to ensure the development of each camper. Members of the UR Men's and Women's teams will be present at all sessions and will interact directly with the campers throughout.

Discounts
Q. Do you offer discounts to UR employees, teams or siblings?
A. We offer team and sibling discounts. We are unable to offer UR employee discounts. In order to receive a discount, you must mail the application to the office with documentation for the discount. Online payment does not allow discounted payments.

Sibling of Camper: $10 (can be applied to each sibling after paying for first child in full)

Goalkeeper training
Q. Does the camp offer specialized goalkeeper training?
A. Yes, please indicate on the application or online registration form that you will attend GK training. Specialized goalkeeper training will be conducted during each week of camp. Quality staff members will introduce basic goalkeeper techniques as well as provide valuable match experience during day camps. During the residential programs, goalkeepers will improve their technique while developing a better tactical understanding of their position. Goalkeeper evaluations will be provided to each Elite Camp GK at the end of the week.

Location and Camp facility
Q. Where is the University of Rochester Located?
A. The University of Rochester is located in Rochester NY, just minutes from the NY Thruway (Route 90) and the Rochester International Airport. The picturesque UR campus is the perfect venue for camp with three pristine grass practice fields, a fieldturf stadium, indoor fieldhouse and swimming pool that are all within a short walk of dormitories and dining halls. Meals
Q. What meals are provided?
A. Please see your camp confirmation for details. All meals are included for the Elite Camp starting with dinner on the first day and concluding with breakfast on the last day of camp. Lunch is provided for Day Camp. All meals will be served in the University dining center which offers an all you care to eat menu with a wide variety of options. (A camp store will also offer pizza, assorted snacks, water and sports drinks for residential campers).

Medical Information
Q. What medical supervision and coverage is available during the camp?
A. Qualified athletic trainers will be on duty through the duration of each camp to care for minor injuries, sickness, and to ensure that all campers receive proper rest and hydration. The University of Rochester Medical Center and Strong Memorial Hospital is located next to campus in the event of an emergency.

Q. What medical information is required for campers to attend camp?
A. Residential Elite campers must complete the Rochester Soccer School health form that is included with your camp e-mail confirmation.

Payment
Q. Can I register online?
A. Yes, Online registration and payment is available by clicking on the link below “Register.” A 2.5% credit card transaction fee and a $5.00 processing fee will apply to on-line registration.

Registration
Q. Where do I register upon arrival for Day and Elite Camps?
A. Day Camp registration is at Fauver Stadium. Residential Elite Camp registration is at Tiernan Hall. Please see your email confirmation for more details on registration.

Q. Is on-site registration available on the first day of camp?
A. Registration will remain open until each camp reaches full capacity. We are happy to take walk-up registrations on the first day of each respective camp. Please call or email us to check space availability if you are planning to register on-site.

Teams
Q. Do you offer specific training for teams? Do teams receive a discount?
A. We encourage teams of all ages to attend the Soccer School! Teams will remain together and be trained as a unit. This is a unique opportunity for teams to train together with top level coaches during the summer prior to their fall season. We also welcome the team's coaching staff to observe our sessions anytime. Team training is available during any camp and team discounts are available for teams of 12 or more.
